The road across Lingdingyang is long and winding, it caught me thinking about the seasons of Autumn and Spring. Everywhere I saw green grass, the sound of horses' hooves echoed with sorrowful winds. Who understands why it gets colder when one is higher up, and the blue sky starts to mourn the rise of the winds. Pause and listen to the zithers and flutes, when will the green-mist by the Eastern hedge cease? Spring's winds again will green Jiangnan's shore, the bright moon tell of when next it will shine on me. Eyes wet with tears, ask the flowers only make no reply. Flowers tumble down onto the swing, but the hate-filled liquid flows away without a care. Even if tomorrow I become the ruler of the world, the past six kingdoms may as well be but a dreamland. Throughout Six Dynasties, our boats have found such ease; Five Lakes we see, and in paintings all our hills are pieces of art. At a gathering of heroes, feats on water match those in the skies; with glowing colours that cross the horizon, in songs of righteousness we tell of how Six Countries grieve. Oh, whose sharpened knife perturbs us? Depressed, in a tower above the ground, winds blow whilst it rains. Sand battles have battered golden armor, though the Loulan of swears to come again. Suddenly, there arrived news of an Immortal Mountain over the sea, somewhere between emptiness and fantasy imaginary; where bright clouds rise around the buildings, wondrous fairies gracefully swirl. Amongst them there's One whose name is Tai Zhen, with kindred face petal-fair as same. The Golden Tower did crack open, yet the wind never moved; and with the lotus reaching October, the jewel of the West Lake was gone forever.
